My name is Hannah Barlaup,
Dressage rider representing Norway, based in Germany and competing internationally abroad.
Horses have been an integral part of my life since childhood. After exploring different disciplines, I eventually found my true sporting passion in dressage.
Today, I compete internationally at U25 Grand Prix level. Competing in high-level classes is an incredible experience, but those moments in the arena are only a small part of the bigger picture. Behind every performance lie daily work, training, management, travel, and countless important decisions that make a difference in the long run and ultimately shape the result in the arena.
For me, dressage is more than just a sport. It brings together precision, teamwork, patience, and trust. It is a continuous journey in which every horse has its own personality, individual strengths, opportunities, and needs.
I compete for Norway, train in Germany, and am part of an international equestrian environment. My goal is to establish myself in Grand Prix sport step by step — sustainably, with healthy horses and a genuine partnership.
At the same time, I want to present dressage in an authentic and modern way, offering a glimpse behind the scenes and highlighting what truly defines the sport: hard work, progress, new ideas, opportunities, and sometimes setbacks, which are naturally part of the journey. Because in the end, it is the journey and the development along the way that matter most.
